I didn’t know I had pollen allergies before I moved to Florida at the end of 2020.
Allergic to mango fruit, yes. The pollen allergies didn’t start until around February of 2025, specifically oak pollen. Smacked me right in the face. The itchy eyes, congestion, poor sleep. The kicker is that I really, really don’t trust medications, prescribed or not. So anti-histamines like Zyrtec or Allegra, or steroids and decongestants were off the table.
Why, you may ask? Sedating myself wasn’t an option. Nor were the other side effects, like disrupted sleep or breathing. I’m already tired, thanks.
The Usual Approach
Several people suggested local raw honey. A local store happened to carry raw honey from a hive about 3 miles near where I live, so that was about as local as you can get! The lore held that this very expensive honey would help inoculate my immune system against local pollen. Honey was effective. But one must remember to take a tablespoon of it regularly throughout the day. And honey is still a sugar and a possible long-term blood-sugar problem.
I admit that 2-3 bottles of raw honey did get me through the oak pollen season without completely losing my mind.
My oak pollen allergy was not resolved, however. And sure enough, in 2026, oak pollen returned like The Empire Strikes Back. One day I had to take 4 naps just to get through the day. I asked myself, how do I resolve this for real? Why does it keep returning? Why does honey only slow my histamine down, but fail to end it?
Like many other physical conditions, I wondered if the answer was possible to be known, sans endless doctor visits and testing, which I wasn’t willing to invest in after the complete trust collapse that occurred during the pandemic.
Beyond Temporary Relief
By the time 2026 rolled around, my oak pollen allergy hadn’t changed, but the tools I had at my disposal were, shall we say, upgraded. Bioresonance scanning was now an option.
By the time the 2026 oak pollen season started (February?) I had become fairly proficient in scanning myself with bioresonance. For the people reading my Substack for the first time, bioresonance is a nifty way of assessing the energy signature, or energy pattern, of various parts of the human body. The WHOLE body, down to the DNA and chromosomes. Fitbit, move over.
Unlike the many “scanning” devices that have flooded the wellness industry, bioresonance scanning provides a DEEP drill down into what parts of your body are stressed, vs. a static list of signals, such as heart rate or BMI.
To be honest, I initially thought bioresonance was a load of bull. A friend told me about it (she used the same bioresonance tool in her massage practice) a few years ago. Bioresonance sounded to me like our century’s version of the medical tricorder from Star Trek. Oh sure, I’ll just scan the body with energy waves and then I can find out what’s really going on! The idea that a scan could reveal what was actually happening in my body didn't seem possible.
Not only was this kind of scanning and depth of data possible, but the technology has been around for decades and is already in use in 50+ countries! It’s in use in the USA too, but I hadn’t heard of it before.
Color me skeptical, but I wanted to see this for myself. So I bought the equipment (surprisingly portable) and studied how to use it. Many, many hours were spent reading manuals and getting assistance from AI, the tools at hand being less than plug and play ready. But I do love me a puzzle.
When the 2026 oak tree “Pollenado” hit Clearwater, I was ready. A quick scan of the relevant body parts later, I drilled down into the data the scan provided and had some interesting info to work with. Less than $20 later (and a 15 minute trip to the local supermarket) I had the elements of success. Four days later I no longer had any oak pollen symptoms. I’m sure it was just a coincidence. Maybe oak pollen season ended after a month? It could happen.
I continued using the “magical” food from February through August (specifically 2 items of a 4 item list), noting my sinuses continued to improve, including my singing voice “returning” after a decline over the past 4 years. I could always sing, but my upper range wasn’t so upper anymore, and my vibrato was disappearing. I thought to myself, I think I can do this: I can make it through pollen season!
That happiness lasted until about the end of August.
Ragweed: The Sequel
Towards the end of summer, like a bad rash, my pollen allergy returned after months of no problems. This time I blamed ragweed, which I had heard of, but never paid any attention to it. I'd already bested oak pollen, so I figured, when I started having increased symptoms, I’ll just do more of what worked for that.
No go.
Despite doubling down on what worked for oak pollen, my “new” symptoms got worse. This time the scan pointed to hay fever instead of oak pollen. As it happened, I had visited an alternative wellness expo within a week of redoing my own scan, and one of the vendors had a similar scanning tool, which also confirmed hay fever, specifically.
Great. So oak pollen and hay fever were clearly attacking me through different mechanisms.
Frustrated, I dug back into the updated bioresonance scan data and discovered a different set of food and vitamins were showing up as energetic matches to my hay fever. Once again, I trekked to the store to buy about $50 worth of food and vitamins, including a pie, and got to work. And by work I mean eating. I ate a lot of one particular food, and I took a lot of the recommended vitamin (since it doesn’t have an overdose limit) and crossed my fingers.
Within 5-7 days I was almost completely clear of all symptoms. Fast enough for me! Ragweed pollen “season” will continue until winter weather hits and shut down pollen production, so I plan to continue eating the “one weird trick” that actually worked. Ok, so it was really two weird tricks, and they weren’t THAT weird, but you get what I mean.
The scan didn’t give me another way to suppress the same symptoms. It gave me a different set of questions to explore. I got better data, so I could ask (AI) better questions, and I got better results at implementation time.
Missing Piece Syndrome: Do you have it too?
I came up with a term for this scenario: “Missing Piece Syndrome.” You know what the symptoms are, but lack enough information and a way to connect all the dots. If you think about it, the medical industry tends to be a bit siloed, if only by specialty. Have you ever had your chiropractor, Urgent Care doctor and acupuncturist meet to discuss your case and connect the dots for you? Yeah, I haven’t either.
Bioresonance combined 80-plus perspectives and deep energy-pattern data into one dataset I could evaluate. From there I picked food and vitamin views and tried the pattern matches. Bioresonance can’t diagnose anything, but it can determine an energetic match. Like a tuning fork, my body’s energy signature was calling out for a food and vitamin that rang true. The proof was in the pudding. Or in this case, pie, soup + a vitamin.
This evolution proved to me the following: If you are going to get a comprehensive full-body set of data with which to unravel the interconnected puzzle that is the human body, you’re going to have to do it outside of the current “approved” system.
Ever lose your car keys? Of course you have. Most of us have a bowl or hook where the keys SHOULD be, and maybe a shortlist of other likely places. But if you can’t find the keys where they should be, you must look elsewhere. Look where the keys should NOT be, like under a couch cushion or inside your toddler’s doll house.
Where to go from here?
If you live in the Tampa Bay Area, you’re in luck. I’ve put together an introductory “Seasonal Allergy/Pollen Comfort” package for those with recurring seasonal discomfort - think of it as a map with directions for your body.
At only $95, compared to the $250 full-body Scan Preview Report, the allergy/pollen scan is an affordable option to zero in on energetic pattern matches that might give you some relief.
At the very least, you’ll have more information about YOUR body, so you can ask your favorite health professional better questions and get better answers. That’s the minimum goal.
If you’re experiencing more than just seasonal allergies, then I would recommend the $250 Scan Preview Report so we get the full-body perspective right off the bat. The allergy scan focuses on certain organs. The full-body Scan Preview Report locates areas of stress across your entire body automatically, drilling down to DNA and chromosome levels if needed.
Experiences and information are unique to each person, as are results. The results are educational in nature and I do not promise success, as success also relies on each person’s willingness, ability and drive to implement what was found, including seeing your doctor for more testing to confirm any conditions, if needed. Bioresonance scanning does not forfeit standard medical care or your doctor’s advice.
